This Smith & Wesson Tactical Survival Pen is more than your ordinary pen; it's a defense, survival and writing tool.  Constructed from anodized aluminum this pen is strong and lightweight.  In emergencies it functions well as a kubiton or glass breaker.  The pen is opened and closed by twisting the tip.  Contained within the pen is a ferro rod that can be used as a firestarter, the butt of the pen is perfectly textured for striking.  For a more compact everyday carry the end can be removed and replaced with a key ring cap.  I love this pen, I never leave home without it.  It's a nice compact way to slip a defensive item into your EDC and better suited for situations in which a knife would be to aggressive.
